Are you looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment? Come join our growing team in Shipping and Receiving in Abbotsford. We work 5 days a week from 7:30 am to 4 pm daily; although some flexibility is available.
Job Description
As an integral part of the warehouse team, you will be responsible for receiving product inventory form vendors and shipping sales orders to customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area and warehouse
- Locking and securing all doors and windows at end of business day
- Ensuring all company fleet vehicles on site are locked up and secured overnight
- Assisting customers in store and on the phone if needed
- Maintaining communication with inside sales staff and Branch Manager regarding sales customer orders and backorders
Receiving duties:
- Matching products received to packing slip, checking items received for accuracy
- Arranging paperwork for accounting/receiving purposes (shipping costs included)
- Writing part numbers on boxes/packaging where needed
- Recording any damage to goods on arrival
- Notifying Branch Manager of any shipping errors from vendors or other branches
- Printing off and filling orders from received goods
- Organizing goods for orders and/or restocking
- Communicating backorders with purchasing department and Branch Manager
Shipping duties:
- Picking orders based on priority (e.g. customer needs, daily deliveries and customer pickups)
- Matching products received to packing slip, checking items received for accuracy
- Double checking orders after being picked for accuracy
- Labeling all boxes and materials for each order
- Organizing deliveries by driver or salesperson, calling for pickup by courier if necessary
- Attaching waybills to appropriate receipts
- Packing appropriate flyers into boxes for specific customers
- Contacting all customers for pickup in store once orders are completed
- Shipping and tracking all outbound orders and tool repairs, ensuring paperwork and repair tickets are in order
- Ensuring interbranch transfers are picked and shipped in the appropriate time
- Notifying Branch Manager or staff if inventory levels require attention
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Detail orientated and organized
- A positive attitude and a polite and friendly demeanor
